Coming to Singapore for work but need housing advice

Post by Controller » Mon, 17 Mar 2008 1:10 am

I'm determined to get back into the banking game in Singapore and need to come down from Bangkok and establish an address whilst I interview etc.

Now I obviously don't want to sign up for a long lease just in case it all falls through and I strike out but I don't want to be paying mega hotel bills for months either. What I'm looking for is perhaps reasonably priced short term apartments (studio is fine) but in my experience in other cities these always run higher than mid price hotels.

Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with perhaps 2 months accommodation requirements ?

Would you suggest the first couple of weeks in an hotel and then an apartment on a monthly let (if available) ?

I'm really open to suggestions.

I might even consider sharing a condo as there seems to be greater flexibility there but I am concerned about the websites I've seen and the advertisers.

Any sources of information you could recommend would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can check out the Serviced Apartments like the Somerset apartments.
