Hello Treas
I lived in Singapore for eight years and both my son and daughter went to school there. My son was eight and daughter ten when we arrived so I put them through the same agegroup schooling which you now have to consider.
Both of mine went to Tanglin Junior, on Portsdown Road and it was fabulous. So many subjects, after school activities, small classes, good teachers, great trips.
Very expensive though, so I do hope your company is paying.
The other options you could take are the ISS, as you say, but I know nothing of that one, or Dover Court, which again is good, and has a great rep for teaching disadvantaged and educationally challenged kids.
Your child will benefit more from being in school as an expat than he will do if he stayed at home. So many new friends from so many different cultures. It changes the way they live their lives. And even now, when my daughter is an actress in London, she still meets regularly with her Singaporean mates, in London and across the world.
Good luck, you'll enjoy it there.
Bubbs.
