Anyone knows solutions to acne problems?
Please see a doctor for Roaccutane
THis is definitely the best acne drug in the market. Please see a doctor to get your blood tested for it - as long as you have a healthy liver, you can use it safely. Not for pregnant women though. It is quite expensive, about S$6 per pill. But it works MIRACLES.
I had an operation last year that totally messed up my biological system. I have acne previously but after the operation, the acne just went crazy - I was covered from face to chest to back.
Now, after 4 months on Roaccutane, my skin has cleared up 90%. My friends were completely amazed. But women must be careful never to get pregnant while on the drug - the offsping has a super high chance of deformity.
So no need to spend so much money on expensive treatments - acne occurs because our over active sebaceous glands produce to much oil that clogs up our pores and then gets inflamed - it has to be cured from the inside. Keeping your skin clean, and frequently scrubbing it to get rid of dead skin seems to help too.
Seeing a dermatologist is the best bet. Beauticians know too little and bruise your skin during facials. By the way, I find anti-biotics just a stop-gap measure - once stopped, the acne comes right back - with vengeance. Just ask for Roaccutane. All the best!

i heard there are side effects to taking medication for acne problem. so leave that as a last resort if you must. health is the most important
Understanding the cause of the problem is the only way to cure the problem, and the cause of acne is not the same for every individual, although it may look that way...
The tiny hair follicles get infected....normally because the skin pH is out of balance, it can be either to acidic or to alkaline, either way, there is a limit, of the scales it can change, and this is when bacteria infection starts.. Oily skin is a sign of to much alkaline....so you need to bring it back into balance...the whole body, that is.
The way to do it is drink vinegar...which adjusts the body pH....to its natural self....drinking vinegar provides, the acids, that your body is not getting....vinegar acids, rejuvenate cell tissue, and disinfects at the same time...it is a very complexed body mechanism, that maintains the pH, and if this is not working optimal, your skin will either go, to oily or to acidic.
So the first step, is to find out the skin pH, it should be pH 4, to protect against bacterial infection, if it's higher which it probably is...then you can also help your system, with drinking vinegars, which are essential to the immune system..and to all organ health and functionality.
You can look at it, in a more logical way...you are a human, maybe not very active, or maybe a professional sportsman...either one, will require the energy, through diet that is sufficient for their own daily needs....
If you own a sports car, you cannot just put in low grade fuel.....you have to put in the correct mixture, for that particular engine...the same with individuals...for good health we need, not only good nutrition, we need, what is never ever discussed or talked about on food labels, which have no nutritional value.....
Acids, because the majority of people do neglect, their diets, ever since fast food, and junk food came on the scene. Acids, through plenty of fruit and veg, is essential....we just don't get it anymore in the quantities, that we need...or the products are contiminated, with pesticides and the acid content is flawed or changed.
That is why natural brewed fruit vinegars, processed like wine for health works....it's 100% organic healthy bacteria compounds, acids, electrolyte, call it whatever...it balances the system, it is a diet suppliment in many ways, than one.

acne is caused by
1) overgrowth of p acne bacterial
2) overactive oil glands
3) Clogged pores
you will need to tackle all 3 problems to resolve the problem
thus you will need oral antibiotics or topical antibacterials-natural topicals: tea tree oil
retinoids either oral or topical
light acids such as glycolic or salicylate acids to remove dead skin
look out for these ingredients or see a doctor for a prescription.

Sonia, afew have recommended Accutane/Roaccutane while others topical treatment.
I believe you would have tried most over-the-counter topical treatments but found them ineffective. I've gone down that path too.
If you're to see a doc, he might recommend stronger topical treatment which may or may not work depending on one's conditions.
If it fails, antibiotics would be next. Followed by Diane-35 and lastly and most effectively; Accutane.
Those exclude skin treatments like peels, masks, aha/bha, retinol etc...
For one with a bad case of acne with breakouts spread from face, chin, neck to the back. Topical treatments would take forever and may only take effect on smaller specific areas.
Imho for those who prefer a once-and-for-all solution, I feel that taking an oral medication might be the best choice as it works from within and clears your entire body.
Accutane is swift, effective and has longer lasting effects than most oral medication and definitely any topical treatment.
It can be too strong for one with mere breakouts tho so antibiotics or diane35(only meant for females) could do for non-serious breakouts.
Still, there's not really a permanent solution to prevent acne as it has to do with one's hormones and sebum production.
That's why once the treatments cease, the effects will wear off in time too. Afew mths - 1+ yr for accutane, and probably much lesser for topical medication since they don't cure from within but merely penetrate skin deep.
Those with oily skin like myself for one, will also have to take the treatment long term, likewise for topical treatment users.
But atop those recommendations, being well rested and hydrated while keeping a healthy diet and using suitable products can work wonders too.
Hope you find your most suitable treatment soon...

The only thing "holistic treatments" will achieve is a lightening of you body, specifically in the wallet area. The only one that will benefit in the case above is the guy who suckered you into paying for the book/CD/Tape download. A fool and their money..........soon parted by people thinking that there are quick cures.Tara_Conner wrote:Not only will this system teach you the only way to prevent your acne from being formed, you will also learn the only way to acme treatments for good - the holistic way.
Especially when someone just registers to post this crap!

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
If you still encounter the acne problem which you still havent solve i think its better to see a specialist doctor rather than you trying to used any other products. This might cause you to have more problems on your face. Actually i encounter this problem too but after i see this specialist doctor my acne is totally gone. its only come when your period is *coming. This only my suggestion and you can tried it. i can give you the address if you want to and the price is reasonable.

that's a mean thing to say.
hi all, i totally agree with Plavt that there is no specific cure for this problem. however, i manage to have a way to improve my acne problem thus i decide to share with you guys.
i was having the acne problem in the past and i was being highly recommended by friend to take up B&H (a TCM product in detoxification) 3 months ago. thus i decided to give it a try since i was looking for ways to improve my acne problem.
indeed, after these 3 months of trying, my face get better and i also experience the following:
- the rate of getting acnes has been tremendously reduced
- better complexion compare to the past (doesn't look like major acne breakout haha)
- face is no longer that oily compare to the past
- feel refreshing everyday
people who are interested can go to guardian pharmacy to purchase it, $80-$83 per bottle (60 capsules). Edited by moderator to remove solicitation
hope this information is useful to be an alternative way to improve the acne problem =)
