Dental questions again

Post by envee » Mon, 03 Mar 2008 1:26 am

Hello there!

Im not really an expat, but I am a student. My budget is pretty low, but I am staying here for another 3 months and I have to go to the dentist.
I was just wondering how much it will cost at a not expensive, not to cheap dental clinic to fix:
- One filling is gone missing and needs refilling
- One ongoing hole in a tooth

And of course it would be nice with a standard check, so I can check if there are any more stuff ongoing.

Regards,
K

hi there
average prices for a filling will depend on how large the filling cost. i think as a rough gauge, tooth coloured fillings will cost anywhere between 45 - 100 for the average dental clinic. of course there are also miscellaneous fees like consultation fees etc.
cheers

Q & M. They have 23 branches all over Singapore. I've used them my self (Still using them with my final appointment on Mar 11th. I had one primary molar extraction, Cleaning & Scaling and a new partial plate made over a course of 5 appointments. Total cost $470.

depends of what level of dentistry are you comfortable with.
the average neighbourhood clinics like QnM, Vista dental surgery, Universal dental surgery will charge around 50 dollars for a simple filling.
By comparison, the high end dental clinics in town will charge around 80 dollars for a simple filling.
Simple cleaning in neighbourhood clinics cost around 50-60 dollars
In the higher end clinics, it'll cost around $100.

depends on what you're looking for.
hope this helps.

There are many "high end" clinics.
they are usually situated in the town area eg orchard or CBD area
in orchard there are many such clinics in Tanglin mall, Paragon, Camden medical centre etc.
The high end clinics do not usually advertise in papers so you wont see them much in adverts.
