Need Advice

Post by cks » Sat, 01 Mar 2008 5:38 pm

Hi everyone,
I have a friend who would like to find a job in Singapore. She only have a degree in business administration, but the degree is not recognised in Singapore. Which is the recommended approach to find a job in Singapore? I heard it is not easy to apply for a work permit for a foreign worker? Her english is self-taught, written and conversational english is still not a problem.

Is better for her to obtain a private certificate like diploma or degree here first before she starts to look for a job?

anyone with similar experience?

thanks

Her best bet is to find a job in her own country if she's not got recognized qualification AND experience.

i think to work in singapore, experience counts for everything. btw, how do you know her degree is not recognised in singapore?

the employee dont apply for a work permit. you got to be accepted by the employer before they will apply the work permit. i guessed this is to prevent employee from applying work permit and then working in geylang!
