Best surgeon in Singapore for c-section...please help!

Post by Minou88 » Fri, 29 Feb 2008 6:47 pm

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum and currently still living in London with my husband. We are due to move to Singapore in about 2 months. I am 8 weeks pregnant now and am booked into St. Mary's with a great surgeon but unable to continue the private care because of the move.

I am now looking for a recommendation of a top surgeon in Singapore who's an expert on c-sections. I will go private and would like to have a skilled and experienced doctor by my side. I have 2 girlfriends here in the Uk who have suffered massive keloid scarring and re-infected c-section wounds in the UK and would like not having to experience this.

Are there any Mums or friends who can speak about their own experiences in regards to having c-sections in Singapore? I'd appreciate it so much if any of you can point me into the right direction as I am a bit scared of leaving the doctor and care behind.

Thank you so much for your help!

I'm sure you must have found someone by now as you should be giving birth soon. I'm pregnant as well and due in Oct. I had my first baby here and had a c-section. Had an amazing doctor and my scar is barely noticeable. I didn't have any problems at all. Unfortunately he's not delivering babies anymore so he's recommended another doctor for me to go to for this baby. I've been seeing him all this time and now i'll be going to this new one he has recommended me. She will do the delivery. Anyway, just htought if you wanted to talk about the experience or whatever, I'm available for that. I had my son at Mount Elizabeth and will be delivering there again with this baby in Oct. Hope all is well with you and you're finding Singapore to be a nice place to live. I've been here for 7 years now. Let me know if I can be of any help!
