Does anyone know where you can hire a locker for a few hours which is in a central location ?

Depends on the size, many swimming pools have lockers, or gyms and fitness centres, it maybe worth paying the daily or hourly fee, to unload the weight, although security maybe an issue too, you may have to open up all baggage, or suggest it, or be turned away, you can tell i'm a security guy can't you!

Califonia Gym, in Raffles Orchard, or Bugis, in fact there are many places, if you ask around, although its going to cost you i would think, or you could pay some shop or service counter and hope for the best. otherwise the airport, is only 30 to 40 minutes away.
