Wool rugs

Post by hornedfrog » Tue, 26 Feb 2008 12:49 am

We have some wool rugs (about 1 inch thick) that we were thinking about bringing because we have room in our 20ft container. I'd like to bring them if possible because rugs are really expensive. But are wool rugs a good idea with Singapore's humidity? Andybody have any experience with this?

Wool holds moisure more than other natural and synthetic fibers. At least that's what my carpet guy here told me. He strongly advised against wool for some carpeting we just had installed. If you are living in a high rise which you'll air-condition at least some of the time, should be no problem. If you live in an open setting on the ground floor, I'd leave your wool rugs at home.
