It is scary and sad that parents are seeking tutors for a 4 and 5 year olds. This is exactly the sort of ultra-competitive mentality that is associated with the local school system or at least local parents. I know there are more balanced approaches out there, but we don't seem to hear from them often enough. This is exactly the kind of thing that keeps expats in International Schools.

Hi,

Do you actually want someone to sit down and teach your child using worksheets? Is he attending a local kindergarten?

I am a qualified childcare professional with teaching experience in one of the better international pre-schools but I've left that now to pursue my dream of helping parents cope better with letting their children enjoy their childhood without having to stress themselves or their kids out!

Essentially I'm all for working in partnership with children through play and areas that interest them such that they are learning in a hands-on way. I would be happy to help your child with one on one sessions that are filled with fun & yet he would be learning (this I guarantee) but this will entail no worksheet or memorizing.

My methods are unconventional but they work!

Feel free to email me. [email protected] to continue this conversation. Cheers
