Ironic question since Dhoby Ghaut means washing place or something like that. Tons of places pick up and deliver. I'd try the yellow pages.

it is ironic that i can't find a dry cleaner in Dhoby Ghaut. Apparently the dry cleaner in the basement of the Dhoby Ghaut train station has closed down...

I work around that area. The nearest one seems to the The Laundry Lodge that is recently opened in Somerset MRT. :D

The address is B1-04, (turn left after the exit gantries at the control station, is just a few steps from the atm machines). I use them sometimes as they are more affordable than presto, they have free pick up and delivery services on Saturday. Think you can call their hotline at 6100-4526.

In fact, i am still seriously considering whether want to take up their deal for singles like me. [-o< Think is $165 dollars for 4 weeks, they will delivery and pick up clothes each sat. each week can enjoy laundry or dryclean for 4 sets of blouse/skirts/pants and 3kg of load wash, think should take care of my towels etc. still thinking, cos lazy to wash myself

Do you think this is worthwhile? or should i be more hardworking and wash myself

not sure if that laundry service for $165/month makes sense...

I'm getting a maid for about that per month to clean my apartment, do my laundry and iron my shirts...the only problem is that i need to go to a dry cleaner for my suits and pants...

I think it's probably better to spend that much on the maid, so you get your apartment cleaned too...

The Laundry Lodge

If you are sending clothes to The Laundry Lodge , do be careful as they have a clause saying that they will only pay up to 10 times the amount you paid for the laundry . The last time they damage my dress that cost $300 and refused to pay any damages. They used some harsh chemicals and denied responsibility.

Bump, I am now living in Singapore near the Dhoby Ghaut MRT stop and was wondering which dry cleaner you would recommend that does pick-up. Also, what are the general rates for washing and ironing a shirt or pant and the cost for dry cleaning a shirt or pant.

I had my lunch at dhoby ghaut mrt Xchange yesterday, and i think there is a new laundry shop which just opened opposite the clothes alteration shop. Chirpy shop design with a sun on the facade.

maybe you can check it out. Laundry lodge is no longer around though. At times i go abit further to selegie area. but it is kinda far for me. So this new outlet will be easy for me in future. Hope they are good.
