Housing(HDB flats) ...how easy and affordable??

Hi i dont have any idea abt Singapore..we are moving to sg shortly.. My husband's office is in bras basah road near singapore management university...he ll go thr n look out for a house.. we are a family of 5 including my in laws n my lil son.. we are looking for a 4 room(3 bedroom) flat there.. where is residential area there whr i get a HDB flat wit tis requirement and how far will it be from my huby's office.. i heard transport thro trains is very comfortable... also we can afford arnd 1500$ only...

Is bras basah road in Central, east,west,north...which direction in singapore///...plzz lemme know..
plzz suggest some sites or residential areas....

Bras Basah Road is considered part of central. Since it's in the town area, rentals here would be quite high. I've seen places like Aljunied (a little further away from central) where the rental for fully furnished (which is the owner's definition but is not that completely furnished) 3-bedroom HDB units can be around 1,800 SGD.

S$1500 for a 3/4 bedroom HDB would be very tight.

by the way.. fully furnished implies wat all items?? n wat do they miss out if its not completely furnished... does rent include tat also. ? wat if we plan to get those furnitures.. is that possible..

fully furnished = all white goods, bed, sofa, etc.
