Enrichment Class in Mandarin for Preschool (K1) Pls help

Post by sarakyria » Mon, 18 Feb 2008 1:58 pm

Dear all,

as we are new relocated in Singapore, my daughter (4.5 years old, K1) has difficulties understanding chinese/mandarin at kindergarten, especially because no one at home understands/speaks chinese.

I heard that enrichment class should help.

Has anybody also this problem? Can anybody suggest a good enrichment class and how much does it cost?
Pls share.

Hi,

My daughter is almost 4 yrs old & she just started Mandarin classes at nursery this year but 30mins everyday is not enough so we put her in Julia Gabriel at Forum Galleria twice a week for Mandarin Edudrama and its worth the time and money. Its targetted at non-Mandarin speakers; conducted in Mandarin, there is lots of singing, craft work, dancing & games & it is amazing how quickly the kids understand their teachers.. I can't remember how much it is, its not cheap but worth every cent. Its been 2 months and my daughter is constantly counting 1-10 and singing songs in Mandarin.

Hi catharinevass,

thanks a lot for sharing and for the tip.
I've opened the website.
I think I will consider the julia gabriel centre for my daughter
