Hopefully they're willing to consider 'mothers'. I'm in my 20's with 2 kids, and i ain't sure if i stand any chance at all.
But hey.. "you dun try you dun know".. So i'm praying and hoping for the best...

You will probably have as much chance as anybody else; I have mentioned this more than once but here goes again;

Under UK law an employer may not discriminate base on race, religion, marital status or sex.

Therefore you may realize that females cannot be given different contracts to males and will not receive any clause added stating 'that you must not become pregnant' within the first eighteen months as SIA do. There are no 'skin tests' either. Should you become pregnant (not that you want to :P ) UK employers by law have to allow maternity leave and if I am not mistaken of full-pay for a proportion of the time (I am a little hazy here as I am a man). Add to that there is no upper age limit for cabin crew either - that's illegal in Britain too.

Hope the above restores your confidence. :)

The Flight Patterns were mentioned in another thread..
If i'm not wrong BA SIN based crews only fly to London/Sydney/Shanghai..
Thanks Dru, I do already know BA flies to these 3 places. I've tried doing a search in this forum but I don't see any other info which can answer my questions. Perhaps you can let me know how I can trace that particular thread u were mentioning?

TIA!

Sweetcheeks,

Try asking this guy, he is a BA steward, really don't know whether he will answer or not or indeed if he actually knows as he lives in the UK;

Hi,

It was mentioned in the earlier entries that Chinese is necessary... But one must be good to what extent? I have got a B3 for Chinese but have hardly written chinese for almost 3 yrs and as in spoken, I guess I might not be that great... I guess I fail in this already?

See post by toygirl; I have no idea if those qualifications are still stipulated.

Hi Plavt and Dru!

Really appreciate your kind help! Reading the recommended thread has been insightful!

Plavt - I have emailed this BA steward. Hopefully, he'll be kind to answer my queries. :roll:

In the meantime, those who are applying for BA, let's all work on our Chinese Language proficiency! Good luck! :D
