BA really need to overhaul their crew! or rather pension off some of the old timer and bring in some new blood.

Hi,
Anyone care to share what the pay scheme is like for BA? Basic plus allowances?
How many do they select at one recruitment drive?
Is it true that BA (Singapore Based Crew) only flies to London, Shanghai and Sydney?
Pls enlighten me....Thanks in Advance!
Yours Truly

It's really difficult to state an amount, but looking at the extremely low turnover rate, what would you reckon?
There maybe exceptions or new routes popping up from time to time though. HTHS.

I don't know your nationality dur
ian but within BA there is no upper age limit for new recruits and females receive the same contract as males so that will not happen.

For Singapore based crew yes; the same condition is imposed on other crew flying to some other countries for reasons of language and culture. I am surprised nobody has mentioned it but SIA do the same thing with their Japanese staff on the Singapore-Japan routes.

Tips for applicants: Make sure both your written and spoken Chinese are in good order. I haven't seen the advertisement but that is the usual stipulation.

Zandlellightz mentioned it was in a newspaper, however I believe the newspaper concerned is one that cannot be mentioned here. Please see the sticky;

I am currently clarifying a few issues over the above with a fellow moderator and will inform you later.

yes, i know that. it was just a joke to compare the likes of SIA.
it's good of BA to have no upper age limit. equal for everyone.

You mean you're a papaya now.
durian - durain spelt incorrectly.
Tell us something are the ground based BA staff in Singapore subject to the same conditions as UK based ground staff? I am sure the cabin crew will be as the union would likely kick up a stink if the company differentiated.
