I live in Canada and have just discovered I require extensive dental work (Full Mouth Restoration which will include at least two implants). The bill here will be on the order of $45,000 - $55,000!
My friends recommend Singapore or Thailand as an alternative.
Has anyone had a FMR done in either place? Your advice will be greatly appreciated as to quality of dentists and cost. Can anyone recommend a skilled dentist capable of doing this kind of work?
All advice gratefully accepted.

its quite hard to quote a price since everyone requires different kinds of treatment. But generally a single tooth implant costs around 4-5k here in singapore. A full mouth reconstruction can cost anywhere between 10k to even 80 or 90K depending on what option you'd like done and difficulty etc.
hope this helps.

Thailand is about half the price of Singapore.

hi there!zaqwerty wrote:Thanks gf,
Wow! I was told Singapore would be considerably less expensive than Canada.
An Implant and crown here costs around $3400 Cdn (aprox $4700 sg) so is about the same.
Have I been terribly misinformed?
its really hard to quote exact prices cuz it depends on each individual and what option you choose
the prices also have a wide range depending on where you go
just to give you an idea, for a single tooth with an implant and crown will cost around 4-5k for the top end.
but there are also dentists in the lower end charging around 3-4k.
depends on where you go and what level you are willing to accept.
If i am not wrong, i think you can consider singapore to be considerably cheaper than US and europe for the high level of treatment. that means if you compare a high-end, top clinic in sg that promises excellent work, versus a similar one in US or Europe, generally its much cheaper in sg.
Having said that, i'm sure you'll be able to find dentists who would do it dirt cheap in other places like thailand or malaysia.
i've heard of implants that costs like even 2k only.
my advice is to at least go to a reputable clinic, its a long term treatment, better to get it done the 1st time right and use it for the rest of your life, than to have complications at a later stage. does have to be really really exquisite and expensive, but at least reputable and reliable.
just my 2 cents worth.
cheers

oh yea and a full mouth reconstruction usually requires more than 2 implants. unless you are wearing dentures, than you can use just 2 implants to secure the lower denture.zaqwerty wrote:I live in Canada and have just discovered I require extensive dental work (Full Mouth Restoration which will include at least two implants). if its 2 implants and the bill is around 45k to 55k, then that's considered quite costly. though i wouldn't know what you had planned. if you are planning on several crowns etc, that may justify the cost.
otherwise if youre talking about only the 2 implants, thats not full mouth reconstruction and that usu would cost less than 10k

For you information, Bumrungrad Hospital is world famous as an International Hospital. It has even been featured on 60 minutes in the US. Before you listen to nobodies on this forum regarding other countries outside of Singapore why is it so many are going to Thailand, Taiwan & Korea for PS procedures. It's called talent.
