What after College

Post by silverprius » Mon, 11 Feb 2008 1:30 am

Hi People, after spending some time on this board here and doing some observations, I conclude that there's good mixture of people from almost virtually anywhere around the world and it seems to me that quite lots of people here have pretty good idea about what works and lifes are out there especially here in Singapore. I'm a student currently enrolled in local university. Since I'm expecting to graduate this year, like everyone else, I need to settle down and find a job to start my career with. It is at this moment that I felt confused what to do after my four years of engineering college.

I know that I should be planning what I'm gonna do years before, but trust me, I thought about it and couldn't make a decision and time flies faster than what I realized. Currently I'm planning to have an Engineering career or Airlines career to start with first. I'm planning to take up further studies.

So, my question would be, judging from your own experiences, what could you suggest me to do. I'm welcoming any constructive replies and comments.

Thank you.

after uni, go look for a job. you can do your further studies in a few years time as once you are working, you will have a better understand of your career path. what you learn in uni might be difference to what you want in your career path, but without getting out there and get the work experience, you wont know it.
