Mind & muscle

Post by ksl » Sat, 09 Feb 2008 2:36 am

I was surfing, when i fell into this site on mind & muscle, the interesting thing for me, was the info and links on the site, because i am attempting to document, reaserch done on vinegar....

I've known for along while, that vinegar is good, for the body, and the more info i gather, the more money i save. Even on wrinkle cream! Well it is a preservative isn't it, logic says, it slows down the aging process.

In califonia, i was paying a small fortune every month for pyruvate, of which isn't really required if your drinkingvinegar...So those body beautifuls, need to do some research... Try Hans Adolf Krebs and the krebs cycle. Which lists all the acids required, for the cycle. Vinegars got them all!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyruvate

Only for the hardcore

Mind & Muscle with good research on vinegar for various health benefits, although take it with a pinch of salt! There's alot of research to be done too

Now you can also pickle your nuts in vinegar.....and watch them jump into your biceps!

Fruit Vinegars, their Constitients and Potential Health Effects. is a report by authorised by? and done by the very well known Professor Fereidoon Shahidi...department of Bio-chemistry Memorial University of Newfoundland. This is not made public, however I have authorisation to use, what i want, from the report.

I have seen many supposedly fresh fruit drink stalls attempting to cash in on selling vinegar drinks, by adding Rice Vinegar into the fruit drinks...
I can firmly say, don't be conned.

Specially brewed vinegar drinks, go through a fermentation process, to extract, the beneficial acids, through the natural organic process, however, bacteria is added to start the process, the mother of vinegar....
The mother of vinegar because of the bacteria content is also specially developed and not just any Mother of Vinegar.

I quote from the report " With respect to ORAC and DPPH radical scavenging...Vinegars tested which had the highest phenolic and/or flavonoid content were most effective as free radical scavengers, such as PLUM, Balsamic, grape, and wine vinegars.

Rice and White vinegar which had the lowest level of phenolics and flavonoids, exhibited the lowest activity both in ORAC and DPPH scavenging"

SAVE YOUR MONEY do not be conned, by those, trying to sell a fresh fruit drink and adding RICE VINEGAR or WHITE VINEGAR and calling it a healthy drink, white vinegar is water, with acetic acid in it. and rice vinegar needs to go through another fermentation process, with the fruits, before any bio-chemical reaction can take place, to promote healthy acids.

Please note, from a health point of view, that special vinegars are brewed for special reasons, and should not be considerd, all the same.....just vinegar, because they are not just vinegars.

A drinking vinegar provides approx only 1% acetic acid once diluted and the pH is around 4, roughly the same as the human skin should be, to protect against attack from harmful bacteria.. the body needs to be balanced for good health, so drinking health vinegars deliver sufficient acids on a daily basis, that the body needs for cell renewal and scavenging, to maintain the body balance, they can be drank with safety 3 or 4 times a day.

Much more healthy than most drinks on the market, although to stop drinking vinegar, will also see, the body revert to its old sick self, unbalanced, because of the lack of natural organically fermented fruit acids, or just plain bad diet planning.

Bio-chemical reactions, with different materials, such as fruits, give all different results depending on the individual Fruit used, the results are unique to the material that is fermented, quality and strength, depending on many factors in the brewing process.

There are addresses available for your nearest NTUC on the website, medical halls, and carrfour also cater for vinegar, for any specific advice, it's better to send an email...

I was doing some research on vinegar, when i discovered that Red Rice Vinegar or Red Yeast Vinegar, is classified to the drugs under the FDA, in USA...That is probably because the red rice vinegar, is made with Monascus purpureus. which is very effective...so effective in fact, that statins are produced for medication, to reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart attacks.

One must be cautious with red rice vinegars, not to drink too much, otherwise you may damage liver cells, that is probably why, the US have listed it under drugs, but also because pharmaceutical companies are also taking advantage of the component subtrates produced by health vinegars now to monopolise and restrict competition.

Chinese medicine has exsisted thousands of years, and there have never been complaints of the red rice vinegars, so I would think the USA use, the classification to restrict many trading products, with red yeast, to protect the medicine industry, which of course is $$$

Although the specially made drinking vinegars are no problem, they are specifically brewed by agricultral chemists, and very safe to consume, like any other social beverage with moderation, or suffer tummy upset.

I would recommend drinking with meals, because vinegar causes satiety and will help with food digestion, and deliever the compounds required for metabolic enhancement, because vinegar breaks down sugars, it will reduce bloodsugar spikes to a more controlled level!

So it is ideal if you are feeling fatigue, and especially good for hyper active kids, to balance their bodies, you may notice the difference in kids, within a week, I certainly see a difference with my daughter, who can be a pain in the butt, if she gets to much sugar.
