relocating within 12 months- help!

we are a family of 5 shortly relocating to singapore from the uk, I need to sort schools re-school and housing, I would appreciate any advice on this mammoth task !our children are 7, 2 and 7 months. I am visiting singapore shortly to try and get a feel for the city, so any advice on how |I can make the most of my trip, would be much appreciated.

do you know where about you gonna be working? from there, we can work out roughly where are the nearest schools, etc.

there are also a lot of informations on what you are looking for from previous posting. have you gone thru them?

we just moved here a week ago. my kids are 11 months (twins) and 2.5. i can't really help with schools. your rental budget will dictate a lot. rents are quite expensive here. more expensive than central london in fact!

rents are going up all the time. one thing i can say is that we made sure there was some flexibility in the rental allowance my husbands company was allocating. we found the perfect place for us, and it was just out of the budget, and we therefore were permitted to rent it.

we found it hard to determine how much we were going to have to pay, because at one point, rents were going up month by month.

do a search of the boards and they should answer some questions.

We too are moving from the UK to Singapore in August 08. We recently came over to Singapore for 8 days to have a look around and get a feel for the place, accommodation and schooling etc. I have a 3.5 year old and baby due in May 08.
