Hi All,

I saw a posting for gathering of Wifes and I think it might be dead now!! I would really like to do something like this, so if anyone is interested please let me know.

I am a Mum and Wife, so dont mind if we meet with or without kids. I have been on a few meet ups and had a great time but been busy lately and havent done anything.

Maybe we could meet for coffee or go out for drinks or both!

Hi,

Id like to join in if you are arranging a meet. However, can only do weekends. With or without kids is fine.

given enough notice, i can do any day. so i'm in. Re location, I live near orchard road. Thats the depth of my knowledge given i've only been here a week. I can get a taxi anywhere within reason.

well if we are talking daylight hours then i can only do weekends too....unless you give me enough time to take leave from work! But i think weekend is better if kids are involved anyway. Or maybe we can plan 2 one with kids one with out and then whoever wants to join in wont be left out. As for location, I guess we have choices. If with kids has to be somewhere they can enjoy, so maybe the beach or for ease of transport we could meet at Vivo City as there is an MRT there and they have childrens play area on the second floor and roof top (and starbucks! :D) Other suggestions are also welcome or if you have something in particular in mind to do I know just about everywhere in Singapore and can probably find a place that does it.

 sorry, could we do an evening? i meant to say evening, not day. I have 3 kids under 2.5, and getting out and about for any length of time is a bit limiting. I have a maid/helper starting soon, but dont want to leave the kids with her for a bit. At least until she settles in and they get to know her. Thank god they are all in bed by 7pm every evening. Frankly i could do with some time without them!

Post by jocelynglc » Wed, 13 Feb 2008 11:14 pm

Hi,

I would be interested in meeting up with you guys though I have no kids of my own yet. I started the 'wive gathering' thingy but didn't have any chance to meet any ladies yet cos my husb been posted to jarkarta and been busy travelling etc. Therefore, if any meet up, pls email me at [email protected]

Hi ladies,

How about we make it for either this coming week say on Thursday evening or next week about the same time if this week is too soon. Let me know what you think. Also do you want to go to the clubs or something a bit more sedate like dinner.

Hello - familyof5 tipped me off about this thread. New to Singapore, 10 month old daughter, living East Coast and keen to meet some mates to help keep us entertained. Not working currently - available weekdays (not eves) and weekends (whenever you like). Mother baby stuff or out on the razzle both good for me though am in total agreement that anywhere full of the young and pert should be avoided (unless its really really dimly lit)!

Hi All,

Sorry i havent replied in a while. I had an urgent trip home for a week then the resulting madness at work cause i dared take a week off! The 12th sounds great. How about dinner somewhere in clarke quay. Its kind of central so easy for all. If those who want to join in can let me know and also food preferance then we can chose the place from there. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars in clarke quay serving all kinds of food, so we will have plenty of choice. Or of course if everyone would rather meet somewhere quiet we can re think based on what everyone wants to eat.
