Ladakh Anyone??

Post by rukzbecks » Wed, 06 Feb 2008 3:46 pm

Calling anyone who wants to leave the concrete jungle to experience nature at its best... m planning a trip to ladakh in india somewhere in june.. its a scenic highland with trekking as main agenda..

criteria to consider:
- completely overworked and looking for calmness away from everyone and everything...
- love having coffee at the break of dawn and sipping wine watching sunset...
- just chill with no reservations...

so u guys interested, lets screen each other to c if we can sync for a week in a trip off the beaten track...

Ladakh is a great place, but Sikkim could be a better choice.

Really depends on what you want.

Sikkim & Ladakh shared similar culture, Tibetan style Buddism. Sikkim is a better choice to catch culture festivals, compared to Tibet. Both Sikkim & Ladakh offered treks, but Sikkim is lower & less dry compared to Ladakh. Thus, Ladakh might be less desirable.

Scenery wise, Tibet & Kashmire are better choices. For treks & scenery alone, Pakistan is another good option, but current situation there make set you back.
