Chinese calligraphy is inspiring, do it yourself at home, just buy the brushes, and some books from the library, it's basically no different, than creating your own style of handwriting, but with a brush.

The importance is in the stroke order of Characters, which is easy to learn, online...the history behind the charaters is also a plus.

There will be many places in Singapore, I did it in Beijing over 15 years ago. Holding the brush correctly, for the stroke, comes quite quickly, but mastering the perfect flow, is something else. But don't be put off, it will be your own personal piece of art, and not easy to copy.
