young toddler swimming lessons

Post by thesicks13 » Tue, 05 Feb 2008 4:38 pm

Hi all,

we are looking to put together a group of Mums and/or dads who would be interested in getting together weekly for swimming lessons, probably on a wednesday afternoon around 3.30, in a condo near Holland Road.

age range roughly from 16 months to 28 months so the kids are of similar age and ability.

The classes are run by an Australian female teacher (Austswim qulaified). She says

"Focus of classes is on water safety and familiarisation through to competitive stroke development. A wide range of toys and aids are used to facilitate and stimulate learning. Parents are required to be in the water and skills are introduced through songs and game activities"

We have been going for 6 months, its great fun for the kids and the parents get to laugh at their singing abilities!

If anyone is interested please drop us a note.

Thanks

Please email me- we're actually arriving to singapore this weekend and I'm already thinking about activities to do with our son (21 months old) and was hoping to find a swim 'class' for him/us to join.

Thanks for organising!

I have a 20month old daughter and we're keen. pls let us know more details and fees. Also, are we able to do a trial (will pay)? We've been doing classes with another swim school but due to frequent changes of intructors, am now lookin into other options.

thanks,
Carol

Hi there,

Well at the moment we are a group of 4, with two more hopefully joining in a few months...Both mums expecting no.2.

We meet every Wednesday at 3.30 (weather permitting) for half an hour of learning to swim with toys and singing. The teacher is a female AUSTSWIM qualified teacher who has been doingthis for years.

I am sure there would be no problem doing a trial session. We pay $200 for 8 lessons. Everything is provided excpet each childs arm bands.

We meet at ASstrid Meadows condo off Coronation West.

If you want to know more please give us a call on 6618 6701 or 91945939. Look forward to speaking with you.
