Need Help - Breaking a Lease!

I have a two year lease on my apartment which I may need to break because I have an opportunity to work for another firm in Dubai.

There is diplomatic clause in my contract which can be exercised after 12 months with 2 months notice, therefore after 14 months I could get out. However, this is not much good to me as I am looking to get out after only 6 months.

So what are my options? Do I just forfeit the deposit I have paid the landlord? or am I likely to be sued for the remaining term of the lease?

If you are being hired by a new firm to work in Dubai, I would at least ask for them to cover the penalty (which will be at least your security deposit). Your landlord might be glad to see you go because he gets the penalty and the ability to rent it out at a higher amount.
