Closest Kayaking on East Coast

Post by Thaiclan » Tue, 29 Jan 2008 12:04 pm

Hi can anyone tell me where the nearest kayaking facility is for a beginner. I'm on the East Coast but maybe a closed water environment would be better. I have seen kayaks on the body of water as I cross the bridge to the city. Also are there any kids kayaking clubs too?
Thanks

Kayaking in reservoirs for the public is available at Macritchie Reservoir near Toa Payoh, and at Seletar Reservoir near Yishun.

The kayaking you see from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge is run by the People's Association at Kallang, I don't think they allow members of the public to use their equipment.

On the East Coast, you can go to the East Coast hawker centre. Look for the sandcastle shop, and beyond that there is the kayaking shop.
