Advice needed for finding a job

Post by Rinaldhounited » Sun, 27 Jan 2008 5:15 pm

Through countless amounts of responses in this forum, I hav found out that finding a job in Singapore is very hard for expats... Would it b better if I apply online, or come to Singapore and find a job myself? And if I do apply online to various jobs, will I hav to still go to singapore anyway for an interview?

Cheers

Without being able to understand simple English you will have a hard time. We have already told you that fresh graduates probably won't be even given the time of day, let alone an interview. You have nothing to offer anybody except a piece of paper that say "theoretically I am capable of learning a job". That's about all a degree does. Why should they pay expat wages, go through the hassles of applying for Employment Passes and paying inflated salaries for someone without any experience?

you are NOT an expat. expat dont look for jobs. expat already had a job in their home country and the company is sending them to another country to work.

That's right, which is why they hire graduates straight from Singapore's universities. Unlike expats, they're cheap, easy and disposable.
