I'm a 'n' level holder plus a private diploma.. dunno they will accept it or not...
155 cm is way too short, your arms won't be long enough for SIA. However, there may be other airlines that will accept you at that height but I don't know if any of them operate in the Asian region (I don't think so). Take good note of what singaporegrrl says.

Please try not to open any topics to ask repeated questions.
I have read about 10 times. And others are answering it 100 times.
Please be smart and read other threads that might have your answer.
It's very sad to read things that have already been covered over and over again. It seems how lazy and unpassionate of you.

Please try to read these advices and stick it with you.
If you are still unsure. Ask by PM or reply over the same thread.

Creating a new topic makes others irritatable and have a direct thinking that you aren't reading what they have posted before.

Thanks~
Queenie

Tattoo/Marks/Scar etc

Post by queenie-me » Wed, 30 Jan 2008 12:39 am

It seems that many are worried over tattoo/marks/scars etc on their body and arms.
Just don't be lazy and start reading...

Here's my solution:
If you have tattoo/marks/scars etc on your body or/and arms, look in the mirror and see where is it located exactly. Then, imagine you wearing the uniform. And see for yourself, whether or not can it be seen. Of course most of you know how the uniform looks like?
If you don't, attachment is there. - I can only find a few airlines that have clearer pictures, if you have others, please upload.
If you still don't search on the internet or go to the airport and look out for the crews.

Be frank to yourself, I am sure you don't want to make a fool out of yourself by just blindly go for the interview knowing that you have tattoo/marks/scars etc on your body.
Always remember to be frank to yourself. Never lie to yourself over your own weakness.

If you have a small scars or/and marks, try conceal it and see for yourself whether can it still be conceal?

Tip: Try sally hansen leg spray. It can be used as a good concealer on any parts of your body. - Just in case some of you might ask where to get and how does it look like?
Below attachment have a picture of it. You can get it at departmental stores or/and watsons and guardian...

The requirements are different for most advertisements put up by SQ. Some requires you to have a bachelor degree. Some only requires 5 O's or diploma or A's.

You just need to check on your own.

Queenie is back for more tips and advice:

I understand that skin can be one of the reason, why some didn't get in or was eliminated. I will share some of my secret to you ladies or maybe gentlemen - if the guys wanna try.

Scars
Oh yesh, Scars can be a problem sometimes. Spending hundreds/thousands of dollars to remove it, will leave a big hole in your pocket. People always wonder, how to have it lighter or remove it in the cheapest way.

My secret: LEMON! - Do you know? That lemon is one of the ingredients on most lighten skin care product.

Pimples
Gross!!! Pimples on the forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. And sometimes, when it's dry, it's simply hard to conceal it. What should you do?

My secret:
Make a mixture of 1 cup plain yoghurt and juice of 1/2 lemon.
Apply it as a cream every night before bed.
The effects on this should be seen after 3-4 weeks.

And to dry out that pimple without drying your skin:
rub cucumber peel ( wet side up) and leave on overnight.

And a good mask for pimple:
Combine 1 egg white and 1 tsp lemon juice. Rinse off after 30 minutes.

Large Pores and White Heads
Ever felt that you need extra thick make-up to have that smooth skin? And by doing so... you tend to get more large pores and white heads?
Do you know that Large pores are often an indication of oily skin?

My secret: Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice.
Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.

To have that fresh looking face:
Ever feel that your skin is dull and boring even after putting on the make-up?

My secret: Cucumber and Lemon. I blend them together and apply it on my face for about 5-10mins.

Yellow Teeth
Everytime you smile in the mirror, you will see the colour of your teeth. It occur to you that it isn't white. What should you do?

My secret:
I brush my teeth with mashed strawberries and together with toothpaste. Not only it taste good! But I can see the effect after 1 week.

Do you know that Strawberries contain Malic Acid, which acts as a mild astringent when mixed with baking soda.

*Another Secret:
To remove my own make-up, I use fresh milk!
Not only did it remove my make-up but also leave my skin smooth, making me feel fresh.

*Remember:
Lemon have a strong acid that might make your skin more sensitive to the sun. In any ingredients that consist lemon - Do not leave it on for more than 20 mins.
__________________________________________________________
To have that natural make-up and still look good!
Try using mineral make-up. Lo'real have just launched a range of mineral foundation. - You might want to try using it and see the difference.

I hope everyone enjoy this post. Till then, GOOD LUCK!

Well... I don't have freckles. But I try to find out for you about it.
Freckles are just like scars. You can try rubbing it with lemon juice with your fingers. Do this daily. For my scars now, I have been doing it 2-3 times a day. Shows results within 2 weeks.
Or/and you might want to consume more Vitamin C.
Food rich in Vitamin C includes Oranges, grapes, apples, etc.

Sorry for not being more specific.
What I meant about freckles and scars that both has uneven colour to our skin. That shows that freckles are just like scars. Dark scars to be exact.

Freckles are caused by uneven distribution of skin pigment melanin in the skin. Freckles become more prominent when exposed to sunlight because the skin produces extra melanin in sunny conditions. The sun and sun-tanning lights emit ultraviolet (UV) rays.
