I am currently breastfeeding my twins. for practical reasons i tend to plan things so that i feed them at home. but sometimes its not always possible. I have no problem feeding in public, and have had no negative experiences in australia. am i likely to encounter any in singapore?

most likely you will get people looking at you. it is not that singapore is perverted but it is still not very common. even in western countries, you will get people looking at you but probably a touch less.
my advise is to be as discreet as possible, get special bra and clothes that enable you to easier whip it out to breastfeed your twins. breast milk is the best and i am sure you know the benefits in the long run. keep them on it for as long as you can, and i am talking about till they are about 3 or 4 years old.
have you also consider a breast pump? you can store the milk in thermo bag pack with ice-pack. they are pretty good and can last a few hours.

you'll have no problems. i breastfed my daughter all over the place (discreetly) and no one bothered staring. also, there are so many nursing facilities - especially in the malls.

Just go for it - what you are doing is so much more important than whether anyone stares !! There are lots of ways to 'disguise' the fact that you are feeding, and lots of discrete places, but you shouldn't be worrying about that - just feed a hungry baby in the most natural way! Good luck and enjoy every moment

No looks but I am not that mindful of it. BF is natural and anyone that is bothered by it.. well, that's just their problem. Keep walking...

excellent! i'll buy one. that way if anyone is offended, i can chuck it over their head so they don't have to watch!
seriously, having arrived in singapore i've come to realise that people have better things to do than be offended. so thanks for the replies everyone, but it looks like i neednt have bothered worrying.

Sure! As long as you have a good carrier. I used to do this all the time and would probably still but my child nurses only at night now.
I had meant that the person having a problem should keep walking though.
The bebe au lait nursing covers are fantastic. I used to stock those in my store back home. Great quality and cute patterns.

It would have been a problem many years ago...but I don't see it being all that difficult now, as our society is easing into the norm with regards to a mother breastfeeding publically.
If it suits you best, you could probably use a sling to "hide" the feeding, or perhaps a baby blanket would do fine.
