Hi, I got my PR approved, but after my passport expired. And you need a valid passport to get your PR card and re-entry permit. The problem is my country won't extend my passport unless I have the actual PR card (won't accept the approval letter) since I haven't finished the mandatory military service. So the government is asking me to bring the PR card to get me a new passport, while the Singapore immigration would ask me to bring a valid passport to get me the PR card.
Can you think of any way I can get the PR card without a valid passport? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like your country has you by the short hairs.
