Toys, buying a simple plastic boat -Mission impossible in SG?

Post by Scandinavia » Mon, 14 Jan 2008 10:58 am

Hi,

In the land of pools it seems to be a mission impossible to find some simple plastic toy boats.

Toys are us only provide boats you wind up or that is radio controlled.

What im looking for is some simple ones to play with in the wading pool at the condo.

Also I was surprised that the Orchard road Toys R us did not sell a simple plastic bucket and a shuffle to use in the sandbox or on the beach. The place to buy this seems to be at Sentosa.

Are Your kids also into the disney pixar Cars world? I finally found the single metal cars outside the Toys R us at Suntec. It was no where in the shop to be found and the reason they where sold outside from a seperate counter was due to that they are stolen on frequent basis. (Would you belive it, in Singapore?)

Anyway if there is anybody who knows where I can pick up my plastic boats I´m greatful.

/S

Hi,
I've bought plastic toy boats for the swimming pool and beach from carrefour at suntec. The one i have is quite big, ie not the small little ones for the bath, but perhaps 15cms long. I think I paid $5 for it as it was on sale at the time. I also got a bucket and spade from carrefour.
Good Luck.

Great

Carefour is maybee the place then to look? Actually 15 cm sound great to play with in the wading pool.

Yes I tried Forum and all the toys shops there as well as Toy R us at Suntec. At Suntec TRUS, they infact had a bucket and a shuffle. No "simple" boats though.

Isn´t it funny though? Must be at least 500 different toy cars at TrUS and maybee what? 3 boats?

I guess the kids are to play with the cars in the pools :)

Heck, whats the difference? You can pretend it´s a submarine!
