Food allergy aware preschools?

Post by foodallergy » Sun, 13 Jan 2008 10:10 pm

Can anybody here recommend a preschool that is somewhat food allergy aware? Like how CentreStage is peanut free?

Thank you.

In many of the schools I visited, they commented that as long as you let the teacher know and pack your child's lunch, it shouldn't be an issue.

Like previous poster - most schools will ask you to pack lunch and will monitor during lunch/parties to make sure there is no sharing of food. Some schools will not allow other children to bring in snacks with peanuts so as not to expose those with allergies. Best to inquire with the preschool you are thinking about.
