I'll be bringing a computer into Singapore. Do I have to worry about Napster-era mp3s on my computer? How about "risque" images (nothing too bad by U.S. standards, but may not pass Singapore standards)? I don't know what email attachments I have opened here that might be somewhere on my hard drive. I don't know if this might be a problem, so if anyone has any practical advice regarding this (including if I should just start off with a new computer), it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

no real answer to this but i would say be safe than be sorry. if custom do want to check your hdd and you got stuff that is not allow/illegal/porno, you gonna get done. is it worth it?
maybe better to upload your stuff to online storage and then download it when you are in singapore. just dont download illegal stuff

This is only something you can decide, you shouldn't be asking others! You know the laws, But you don't know the risk! I've never heard of anyone being stopped and their hard drives checked...unless, they are suspects, that are being monitored, in which case, they will check.
