Hey there and welcome to singapore!

If you dont mind paying a little bit extra then David from Toni & Guy at the heeren is the best hairdresser I have come across for a long time, I cant sing his praises enough! Also Chaiya is fantastic for highlights and for the first time in nearly 2 years since leaving London has done my highlights just as I wanted them with no shades of grey, green, orange or yellow! Try them out. :)

Thanks, hope you don't mind me asking... but how much am I looking at paying? In the UK I pay about £120 for cut and highlights, will I be paying the same sort of money over here?

In pound for that much? Still cheaper here I guess.
Anyways, you might wanna try this caucasian guy from the hair shop at paragon. He does caucasian hair mostly. He is English. He's name is Melvin.

Hi, you can look for Anthony (HP: 9764-7511) at Body Contours 30 Hill Street #01-03A (near City Hall MRT). He's really good. My husband & I swear by him. Great style & most importantly great style that suits us! :D

Hi, I use Linda, a hairdresser from NZ. She's great and advertises on this forum and in expat publications. Reasonable rates too.

Try Dominic from Visage. I been to many in Singapore but he is the only one that seems to understand my hair and always gets the colour right.
But he is alway busy :o and once you there you do not feel like you are in Singapore.... all Expats no locals.

Hi

Just butting in to ask where Visage is?

Also a friend said there was somewhere in Ngee Ann City?

I don't mind paying for my hair if you don't mind paying is there anywhere else anyone could recommend? (Mousy English hair to natural looking blond highlights wanted). Thanks.

chops,
go & consult this international stylist - VENSON ONG of Anthony & Celevenus (Anthony's Hair Boutique) at The Central mall, just directly above Clarke Quay MRT station. The salon which is designed like a posh lounge is located at unit #03-16.

Consultation is free & without any obligation.

VENSON himself is formerly from Toni&Guy roots. He was a Style Director & Academy Trainer there. He is very familiar & skillful with western hair trends. He is now Operation Manager in Anthony's Hair Boutique. His charge for cut is about S$50+. Sorry, I don't know about other costs of highlights or colours but they are using very wide range of hair products including Label M, HoYou Promaster, Loreal and etc. You can make your enquiries at reception hotline: 6235-5188.

I visited the hair salon for a routine rebonding touch-up. Dominic (the head stylist) was very attentive during the consult, making me feel confident that the salon would do a good job.

However, at the actual rebonding section, Dominic was out of the salon for most of the 4 hours - first attending to his daughter, which he brought with him to work and then leaving to go home an hour before the rebonding had finished. After the final wash, I realised that his assistants had burned my hair. However, Dominic, was, of course, already at home, so I was forced to go home with extremely frizzy hair.

The next day when I went back with the extremely frizzy hair (the complete opposite of what one would expect from rebonding), Dominic tried to make excuses for himself, saying that my hair was already weak to begin with. However, note that he had done a consult before the rebonding to make sure I was ready for a touch-up. This makes me seriously question his experience.

The thing that struck me the most is that after all that, Dominic never apologized and refused to refund. I could not believe that I had to pay 300 for burned frizzy hair and unprofessional service!
