activities for moms and childs (2 years....)

Post by franchy » Sun, 06 Jan 2008 3:05 pm

Hello all,

i find weekends/weekdays afternoons quite hard and always looking for something to do with my son, he is 2 years old this month (and expecting another in 3 month).

Are there any meetings of moms and child in the afternoons? weekends as well? i would more than happy to join!

I live in Orchard area, Tanglin or Great world city also close to my place.

looking forward hearing from anyone!

Hi! Franchy. We are moving to SIngapore, my husband is already there to arrange the place where we're gonna live, and that would probably be around Orchard. I'm still in the Netherlands right now but hoping to be there in February. I also got a daughter which is turning 2 on February, so i hope to meet you later when we are already settled there in Singapore. :)

I'm also an afternoon kinda gal. My daughter is 2.5 and one of the places we have really taken to enjoying is the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. We're located very close to Tanglin and probably spend the majority of our time in that area since my husbands' office is there.

We also have a membership at the Forum playground but afternoons are a bit crowded there..

btw- congrats on #2! :)

Hi lymz

I'm in The Netherlands as well and just found out 4days ago that we need to go to Singapore for about 4-5mths. We leave in just over a week. I have a son who turns 2 in April, so he's nearly 21mths.

We're looking for reccommendations on places to stay pref close Ochard area which I assume is where Ochard street is. Any tips from your husband?

Would be great to catch up with other moms there. Like I said this has all been dumped on us now and we leave in a few days, so any tips advise and coffee dates are welcome.

G*-- check out the Treetops Apartments. They're serviced and great for those only staying a few months.

thanks for the tip. it's the tip, it's over our budget (which i shuda mentioned) monthly rental should be max 7500dollars.

i was interested in bukit timah, but they have construction going on there and was advise that the noise goes on all day.

looking at wilby apartments which is close to ochard street. anyone know it. looks appropriate and within budget.

the other option is arthur road 118, yet somehow it doesnt seem appealing. would appreciate feedback if anyone knows there places.

Hi, Franchy,

We just moved to Singapore one month ago. I have a boy who turns to 2 years old in March. If you are still interested to meet new friend, please send me an email to : [email protected].
Thank you.

Hi all,

we are looking to put together a group of Mums and/or dads who would be interested in getting together weekly for swimming lessons, probably on a wednesday afternoon around 3.30, in a condo near Holland Road. Anyone interested in joing our group?

age range roughly from 16 months to 28 months so the kids are of similar age and ability.

The classes are run by an Australian female teacher (Austswim qulaified).
