We're HSBC Premier in AUS, SIN, and USA. While I despise them with a vengeance they are the best of a bad bunch, and the Global View and fee free int'l transfers are a huge bonus. HTH, Mr. P

Is the fee that you are being charged a "wire fee" or "conversion fee"? When I sent money overseas the teller suggested that I remit the amount in SGD to avoid the "conversion fee" and the fact that my overseas bank didn't charge one either was great!
Most of the local banks allow you to open foreign currency savings accounts. Then what you can do is transfer your money to the forex ccy in singapore and then wire the forex amount (without converting) and hopefully save the $60 fee!

Sadly, we have a HSBC premier account.

Any idea why they are charging us $10 for each inter-Singapore bank transfer and our landlord requires that for the rent?

It seems like everyone else pays this way for free?
