Where to go in Johor?

Post by eveningseven » Sun, 30 Dec 2007 5:36 pm

Im not familiar with places in Malaysia. Wonder where I can go in Johor besides the nearby city square, pelangi? My trips to Johor are restricted to these 2 places as I don't know where to go.

you can take causeway bus from jurong east interchange.

I think the poster meant Sentosa complex in johor (north of Singapore), not Sentosa island (south of Singapore).

Just take an mrt to Khatib MRT, cross the road and take bus 170, clear immigration, then when you are in johor, take a taxi. Should cost you $6 ringgit to get to sentosa complex or holiday plaza.

if u got time then i suggest u take a break by going to places like kukup (water town) or pekan nanas (pineapple town). Get to have pretty good experience of village getaway. Cheap local food that tickles ya taste buds. :)

This is my favorite place in Malaysia.

Go to the check point. Go threw immigration. AS soon as you step foot into Malasia there you are. My favorite place is the first 2 inches. Then turn around and go back to SIngapore. HEHEHE

johor in general is laidback nature destination.

the city area is just a twist of wat johor realli is.

recently went fishing on a 'kelong' in johor. no one knows the place except for the locals. my fren who is a local there invited me there to fish.

the road leading to the jetty is pretty treacherous and although a normal car can pass thru, if its raining, u car can be stuck near the jetty since since the area is sloppy and full of soft soil.

the jetty itself experiences tides and at high tide, the water covers the wooden planks on the jetty and u gotta be careful not to go down the sea since u have no idea where is the water and where is the wooden plank.

then to get to the kelong, u gotta take a short sampan ride.

however, i did not get any fish there :(
