Is there a procedure for squarish jaws?

Post by eveningseven » Sun, 30 Dec 2007 5:29 pm

My face is quite squarish and I want it to be slimmer. Its not fat but bones. Is there a procedure to make my face sharper? I don't want to try Botox as it is only temporary and require constant injection. Is there a good doctor that I go to in Singapore or Johor?

botox only works for developed muscles at the jawline, so if u say it's bones, botox for jaws wun work for you at all... jaw bone shaving will be a choice... if ur chin is short, u might try a chin implant which will elongate ur face and make it look less squarish?
Next: Forehead augmentation, botox, RF

Ya if bones no use...mine is very bony with muscles n fats..(all in one!) So i consulted with an aesthetics doctor (A), he say wont show much diff for my case. Even though my muscles were quite prominent. He says bcos it's my bone structure....

I consulted another B, she says can try mesotherapy to get rid of the fats n slim the face n she asked me to buy 10 times..then i asked if confirm n see results, she says it depends. And 10 times costs $2500(promo)...If not usual $5000...Wa..if pay 2500 n no results really bang head.. ](*,)

Shave off is the solution...I have a few doctors im researching on in Taiwan..if u r keen, let me know..i can give u their websites for your own research. But all in mandarin.

From wad i know, it's not painful, but your face will swell so much that your face feels so tight and uncomfortable..If not can wait till i go through it later part of the year n i share with u.lol

you can opt to go for a surgery to reduce the bone of your lower jaw, this is usually done by removing the bone at the angle of your lower jaw, that is, the bend of your lower jaw just below the ear.
that will make your face look sharper.
get an oral maxillofacial dental surgeon to do the job.

alternatively you can get botox injections, it may be temporary but its relatively painless and simple. each session can last for 3 mths too.

squarish jaws

Post by eveningseven » Thu, 24 Jan 2008 10:48 am

Just wondering, if I have my jaws partially shaved off, will the swelling came back again after a few months or years? Im asking this because I had my nose injected by a beautcain some years back and I regretted it. The area between my eyes became swollen and It made me look like a luohan fish. The swelling would disappear and then reappear again. It went on for a few years but luckily now the swelling never appear again without having surgery to remove it.

Dimensionspectrum, pls share with me your experiences if you go to taiwan to get your jaws done. Do show your B4 and after pics and what are the url for the websites?

no. if the procedure is done properly, you hsould not have repeated swellings. do get a medical doctor to take a look at your nose, he'll prob take some xrays too. repeated swellings can hint at bigger problems, like some foreign objects causing repeated infections.
and i'd strongly advise against getting such PS done by beauticians.
they aren't properly trained and they prob just follow through the steps much like a manual.
the problem is, no 2 persons are the same so you can't just do the same things for everyone.

hi there are not many side effects, but there will be the usual symptoms associated with any surgery.
a little swelling, some pain after the procedure which lasts for maybe around 1-2 days.
havent heard of any bad experiences thus far. its considered a relatively minor op.

oral maxillofacial dental surgeon

Hi GF
Do you have any idea if this type of dental surgeon is available in local hospital? Coz i am thinking of minimising my jawline too....

What others suggest - to remove all the 4 wisdom teeth which can reduce the jawline too
