hi,

l'm very new to Singapore.

l'd love to meet new people here but showing up at an event alone makes me nervous and uncomforatable... Please welcome and talk to a lady who looks shy.

Thank you! :)

Welcome to Singapore. It is easy to get friends in Singapore as basically the people here are friendly and there is also a huge expatriate population here. Just head down to Zouk or any of the pubs in Boat Quay or Robertson Quay and pretty soon, you will get some warm handshakes or nice exchange of numbers.

:-)

Hey there!

Finally, the Pulau Ubin trip is happening.. this is to fulfil the promise I made to some of you in Feb..

I've managed to get some time off from work this sat and we're going Pulau Ubin.. And don't worry about showing up on this event alone.. cos most of us are in the same situation :)

Just show up in your most comfortable gear and we can all explore this offshore island and build new friendships at the same time...

More details as follows..

****************************************

Event: Pulau Ubin Hiking/Cycling Trip
"Let's travel back in time"

Pulau Ubin is in essence, the last 'kampung' (village) in Singapore. A stroll through Ubin takes you back to Singapore in the 1960's with the simpler pleasures of life.

You may choose to cycle or hike for Pulau Ubin.

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes for hiking/cycling. You may bring your own bottle of water or you may purchase from the shops on the island.

The Sensory hiking tour only allows a maximum of 15 people. So we regret to inform you that only people who RSVP (by fri 18 April) will be given priority for hiking.

If hiking is not for you, you may choose to cycle. Rental of bicycles are available on the island.
