I am extremely delighted to find this forum to assist foreigners working and living in Singapore.
I am a Taiwanese girl who is holding a Canadian Degree, and hoping to seek for an employement in Singapore in November 2004.
I have a question which i hope you experts might be able to give a hand, provide suggestions if you could.
According to Singapore ICA web site, a Sporean or Sporean PR has to sponsor me if i would like to apply for this visa: "Social Visitor Seeking Employment"
The application form V39I it clearly states,
"*I/We further agree to furnish the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority a Security Deposit of $___________in the form of Banker’s Guarantee/Cashier's Order as a condition for the approval of a Social Visit Pass/Student's Pass valid for____________ months and understand that a breach of any or all the aforesaid conditions will render the Security Deposit being forfeited."
Do you guys have any idea how much security deposit ICA is asking for?
If i am intending to apply for a 6 months visa extension, how much
deposit would be enough to get a visa extension?
