Churches with good children's ministry

Post by greatergood » Sun, 23 Dec 2007 8:59 pm

I just moved here from California with my six year old daughter, and we're looking for a family-centric church with a good children's ministry. We're Presbyterian, but a non-denominational church is fine, and if possible with a smallish congregation so we can more easily get to know people. Preferably not too far from Orchard area.

Thank you.

We were church hopping over the last 8 years looking for a good church for my kids and found a good church - St Georges in Minden Rd. Most of the teachers there seem to be from International Schools in Singapore.

Playgroups organized by churches

Post by philchlee » Sat, 29 Aug 2009 12:11 am

I am also searching for churches that organize playgroups of Christian mothers with toddlers in the city.

Anyone who knows, please share. Thanks.

Grace Methodist Church

Post by yileen » Tue, 08 Sep 2009 2:17 pm

Go try out Grace Methodist Church along Telok Blangah Road. Its pretty near Vivo City.

Grace Star sunday school for kids start at 11am. Parents can leave their kids at Grace Star and attend the 11.15am service. Both session will end about the same time.

Grace Star has a pretty good and comprehensive program. Do check them out.

All the best

I attend Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church in Alexandra. We are small and have Sunday School for kids. Most of our families have small children, but there are a few older kids too. Most people who attend are teachers/profs or professionals, and there are a few stay-at-home moms too. We have a few expats, and others have studied/worked in the States.

If interested: Sunday worship at 9:30 am, then snacks and fellowship, then Sunday school for children and Bible study for adults. Afterwards, a few families usually stay and have lunch together -- funny, now that I think about it, it's the families with expats! If you google the church, you'll find all the info you need.
