This was taken from a colleague of your's webblog:
Now I will show everybody the lies that you are telling people here. This was posted by the same girl in her next post:By name, I'm a marketing intern for WBG
(World Business Group)
We are a Singaporean firm, specializes in health related products.
5 (core products) and Just5 (weight loss program)
Our firm does franchise trading,
which means that we do Business to Business trades.
All our products are sold to business owners, not end-users.
To encourage that, WBG is now searching for mini traders to help them sell their products.
Mini traders are responsible for searching for the right business owners
to stock up our products;
and they will be rewarded lucratively for their efforts (OF COURSE!)
Since we are a health company, we're looking for pharmaceuticals
or any companies that has relation to our products.
For me, I was told to focus on one specific feminine product;
the Miraeca breast cream.
Quite a toughie because like Tony (some dude from office) said:
It's a discreet product;
people don't use it and tell the world about it.
and this one taken from another blog.....Anyways, I've realized what a pain this job can be.
Sure, all the flexible hours and freedom
But freedom can turn deadly. Not to mention PRICEY.
I mean ...
I don't know.
There are so many hidden clauses.
I rather go back studying International TRADE LAW
than to do this.
Anyways, my sales is not going as I had planned.
I tried calls and visiting.
(Maybe not too many yet.)
But people seems to take a look at this MIRAECA BREAST thingy
and say either,
"MY BOOBS ARE BIG ENOUGH, THANK YOU"
or
"I GOT MY OWN BOOB CREAM, THANK YOU"
And what do you expect me to say,
"Aren't your girls tilting a little bit to the left?"
*looks quizzically at customers' boobs*
or
"Nay, yours can't beat mine"
then flex my chest muscles?
So obviously it isn't just a B2B thing at all. As WBG is part of the Hunza group it is already know here that they have been into network marketing since 2001. So we won't be seeing anymore posts about Miraeca or Petalsence or any other products from the Hunza group. An MLM is an MLM no matter what color clothes you try to hide it with and we don't do MLM's here. Period.I've got myself a new free-time job as a sales promoter promoting MIRAECA. It is a kind of breast cream which enhances and firms the breast which also helps in preventing cancer.It is made of natural ingredients and scentific proven that it works. =) If any ladies are interested, please contact me.

SMS....
Perhaps your definition of MLM is a bit skewed...
In MLM, Commissions are paid not only to the MLM Consultant that made the sale, but they are also paid to the person who referred that consultant to the Network Marketing company in the first place.
MLM or Network Marketing is different from Direct Sales. In a Direct Sales company distributors make most of their money from simply reselling the company products. These companies usually market through home party plans etc. Unlike your typical MLM business, there are large commissions paid to the person doing the "selling" and a much smaller percentage paid "upline".
Now WBG is no longer using the MLM model of commission pay-up. Can you still say that it is MLM? As traders or franchisors, you can sell to shops or to individuals. What you earn will be how much you want to sell the pdt for. You become the salesman. Am I telling the truth? Maybe the only way for you to find out is to join the company.
Anyway, how did this become a MLM argument?

ShirleySU,
Simple question. How did you get into WBG?
How does a "Mini-Trader" get paid?
What's a mini-trader anyway - a 1.3m tall mlm'r?
Who pays the mini-trader?
What do you pay a mini-trader? Mini-dollars?
Are you a mini-trader?
Do 'you' recruit mini-traders?
Are your products overpriced? You don't have to answer that. We already know that they are. All MLM products are overpriced. It's the only way to pay your upline.
This isn't an discussion about MLM per se, it's about advertising for personal gain in the forums. We do not allow that. When we see "PM me" or "Call me for information" it means that the person is in it for personal gain and that is not what this forum is about. Hopefully you're not to thick to understand that. There is a difference between promoting a product and recommending a product. If you don't understand that then you have a lot to learn.
