Paying Taxes

Post by Splatted » Wed, 19 Dec 2007 9:18 pm

Can someone kindly advise me whether it's possible to pay one's taxes with a credit card in Singapore?

(or point me in the right direction where I can find out)

The reason behind the question is that I have funds left in my Singapore bank account that I want to use up whilst overseas in Australia (utilizing my visa debit card), and am hoping that I can cross the tax bridge later when I come to it without having to transfer money internationally.

Leaving money sitting in a very low interest bank account seems a waste.

Thanks in advance for any answers/thoughtful replies.

Splatted,

I just received my property Tax & TV License fee bill today from IRAS. It would seem that you can pay by the following modes:

GIRO
eNETS
SAM/AXS Stations (using NETS)
Cash / NETS at the Post office
Cheque
Payment via VPOST.
You can also use phone banking and or Internet banking as well.
