Does anyone know where I can get my UK Sony Ericsson W850i phone unlocked so I can put my Singapore Sim card in?

I mean your Singapore Sim card. Which service provider is that Sim card from?

it is from M1, but that should not have any impact, the phone does not recoignise that or my Singtel Sim card because it is locked to only accepting Orage Sim cards, no?

No. You can try your luck at the M1 shop then. They'll be able to advise you there. After you get through the 1 million people in the queues at every single branch!
