Now let me see :-k Peoples homes stocked with more booze than normal, mass advertising especially on TV to encourage people to spend more than they can afford creating financial woes to start the new year. Indigestion resulting in work time being lost while off sick cutting the productivity of a various countries. For some a house full of screaming kids, relatives and in-laws otherwise unseen for much of the year in a red hot room for just too long. Think I will go for a walk. :?
AAAhhhh, the benefits of being a confirmed bachelor huh? Good time to jump a jet to someplace that doesn't celebrate somewhere in the tropics. Especially if you are from the northern climes.

The joy of Xmas is; I like giving presents, small, may they be because during the year you never really say thankyou, a present can be personal and meaningful.

Xmas makes be feel thankful for the life I have..

What do you think?
Totally agreed. Think it goes down to the basics. It's a time to reflect on what is truly important at the end of the day. That everyday should be spent giving thanks for all the small blessings we receive instead of moaning about the things we want and don't have. It's really a time where we remember the spirit of giving and spreading the joy, love and cheer with everyone around us, be it loved ones, or strangers. And maybe we should also consider: why only at Christmas? Let's remember to do so everyday of our lives :)

It's an excuse to me to relax myself. I'm too busy with work in other months. But near the X'mas, I try to be lazy, do the entertainment I want, sleep late.
Besides,it's an oppotunity being with families. :P

Having headaches to buy some constructive presents for gift exchanges~
& having to work within certain budgets too~

Maybe one day when I'm much richer, I wont have this headache anymore. :D

I like the spirit of giving. cos "its in giving that you receive"

this is pretty close to what I think Christmas should communicate to all the hurting and lonely and those seeking peace...

Merry Christmas to you all and may you find what you need in the coming days!

I escaped the commercialism of Christmas by going to an obscure Indonesian seaport town. Hee hee hee! It was good to just walk around and not bump into people and not worry about hurrying to work or trying to catch a flight...

Anyway, happy holidays to all of you forum regulars! :)
