input on where to send my 5 yr. old

Post by eveie » Tue, 11 Dec 2007 5:45 pm

HI, I will be moving to Sing. in a month and my 7 yr. old has a placement in SAS but her sister 5yr. is still on wait. I am bit lost as to where to send her while on waiting for SAS. I am considering sending her to a nearby preschool such as montessori or Pat's House etc. or applying to a OFS, CIS .
I don't now how long the wait will be for SAS so it's bit frustrating to send her to a differnt International School. If you have any recommendations on this, would be so helpful. Thanks in advance :)

I wouldn't look at other International Schools, I'd find a nice, small Kindergarten close to where you'll be living to wait out your time. I can't imagine the waitlist at SAS will be too long. I believe they give preferences to siblings of those already attending. The waitlist is daunting I know, but not evenly distributed among grade levels. I bet by Fall '08 you'll be in. Hope so, for your sanity's sake.
