...does anybody have any recommended restaurants for Xmas dinner in Sydney.
Requirements
Good and substantial fare
Nice and 'not-too-stuffy' atmosphere
Nice decor / great views (preferably both)
cost not an issue
Please help !

Yeah the SUMMIT is brilliant ! Not cheap but worth every cent. Did Christmas there last year and will definitely do it again sometime. The views are to die for, the decor and service- really they leave nothing lacking - it may be hard to get in there now cos we had to book quite early I recall....parking in a nearby street was good cos limited restrictions on the public holiday so don't freak about parking.
'Are you trying to tempt me because I come from the land of plenty?'

ozchick, totally agree with you about the restaurant. I did some research and a project on The Summit when I was in Uni. Brilliant place

Any recommendations for a nice buffet dinner under $50 per pax? (Besides hotel buffets)

Since they're your friends, you can give them a gift that you think they need or will use every day :) Practical but functional.
