Re: replies
ah well, as sundaymorningstaple has said, I guess I'm not allowed to post any websites for you, but you can google and find the various dental associations / aesthetic dental associations and they'll probably mention about teeth whitening there.vivienshoshanna wrote:gf wrote:Sure.cnono wrote: i am interesting in it
could u show me the website?
I've pmed you.
cheers
can I also see the website? thank you
Examples include Singapore dental association, american dental association and aesthetic dentistry society singapore.
You are right to say that whitening (regardless of whether it is zoom or britesmile or any other whitening) is not permanent. As I mentioned previously, whitening is reversible.Millicious wrote:I've done zoom whitening about 2 years ago and my teeth are somewhat yellow without maintenance. What most dentists neglect to mention is that once you whiten your teeth, especially for zoom-whitening, you have to go back yearly for maintenance. If not, teeth will yellow even more than before you started whitening. I'm don't drink much tea, coffee or red wine and found this to be very true.
The colour will tend to return to your base shade, how fast this happens really varies between individuals. Factors such as how much was the change, age of the patient, dietary habits etc all play a part.
To prevent the colour from returning back to your base shade, you would have to get a take home maintenance kit done and subsequently, you can use the whitening kit at home to maintain the shade.
cheers

is there a more permanent whitening solution? for zoom, maintenance by brushing teeth 2-3 times a day is not good enough is it?gf wrote:You are right to say that whitening (regardless of whether it is zoom or britesmile or any other whitening) is not permanent. hi gf! i am desperate to look for a clinic for teeth whitening. please email me at astaway@hotmail.com or pm me the details. thanks so much!
I love my dentist. She's very good and professional. People from Indonesia and America all come to her and her school of professionals. Its called the Dental Specialist. At Mount Elizabeth Hospital Level 8. Look for Dr Yong or Dr Ho. They have other dentists in this specialist group too.. but these are the 2 doctors that have works on my teeth. Its all straight and white now. I've done the internal metal braces and whitening. Very gentle and very professional.

Hi GF,
Thank you for sharing the information. I am very keen to whiten my teeth, which have turned yellowish due to my addiction to Coke. On top of that, I have a front tooth that is few shades up due to previous nerve treatment done. Can I still ever have bright smile? And how much will this smile cost me?
Regards,
Charles

I've replied most of the posts.
My apologies if I left anyone one, it gets a little confusing after some time.
Also, quite a few people pm ed to ask me if whitening would damage the teeth.
Whitening is generally accepted as the safest cosmetic procedure. It does not damage the teeth and it is reversible. Several aesthetic dental assocaitions all over the world have accepted whitening as the least invasive cosmetic procedure.
I'd have posted the websites, but not sure if it's allowed.
cheers
