hey!

I have been thinking of tooth whitening for a very long time, but my friend advised me against it as she says it will cause long-term sensitivity, and in the future, tooth will decay more easily. May I know how true is that?

Any kind soul who would provide gf's clinic address, contact and quotation, please e-mail to me @ [email protected]

Thanks!

I am keen on the whitening too since my wedding photo shoot is approaching. Kindly pm me your clinic details and price info.

Thanks a million :D
Appreciate if anyone who has gf's clinic details and price info, pls pm or email me at [email protected].
oops... sorry for the late reply.
i will pm you the details if its not already too late.
Hope you have at least done the whitening somewhere else before your photo shoot. Most clinics should offer it, just give them a ring to check first.
Also, do give a week or so of buffer time after the whitening procedure before you go for the photo shoot as the colour takes a couple of days to even out. Also, occasionally the gum may get bleached a little, and this takes a couple of days to revert back to the original colour.

cheers and congrats!

hi
the whitening procedure may cause short term sensitivity which usually lasts not more than a week.
Also, its widely documented and proven that the whitening procedure does not weaken the tooth structure or cause decay more easily. If anything, whitening actually retards the decay process as whitening is an oxidation process which helps to kill the bacteria involved in whitening.
Most dentists would however, recommend controlling any decay first, prior to proceeding with whitening as any cavities present may make the sensitivity worse.

cheers

i chanced upon your post and decided to reply :D
there are generally 2 types of whitening:
1 using a take home kit which u use at home yourself, the other is done in the dental office by the dentist, which is much faster
the price for an in-office whitening is around 1000 SGD, you may be able to find some slightly cheaper.
the in-office whitening is of course more effective and faster than the take home kit where the dentist makes u a tray which u bring home.
teeth whitening may be done by lasers, or by chemicals. not much difference whichever way you get it done.
i'm a dental surgeon btw, hope this answers your questions.
cheers!

hi, i am a new member thus unable to PM u.
can u let me know the prices for laser teeth whitening and the info on teeth whitening.
i am keen to do either Britesmile laser or teeth bleaching but unsure which is better and how long can results last and the treatments.
thks

Hey GF !

A few questions from you before I get my teeth laser-whitened.

Have you earned enough from everyone to start you own clinic?
Are you still active in this forum?

1.You can ignore the questions above.
But those below are everyone's commmon question..

2.How much does it cost?

3.Is the white permanent (If i brush with normal toothpaste)?

4.If the white is not permanent,
how long will the white stay (If i brush teeth with normal toothpaste)

5.Does the Crest Whitestrips whiten the teeth to like those advertised after prolonged use? How long will it last (Brushing with normal toothpaste)?

6.Is normal / whitening toothpaste as good as the maintenance tray thing?

Last questionHow much does the laser whitening from you cost.

Hope you are still active to reply.
Cheers.
