Its hard to say conclusively if the whitening toothpastes works because whether it works or not is subjective. Meaning there could be slight whitening or lightening of the colour but because the difference is not that great or if it happens too gradually over a long period of time, it may be perceived as ineffective.

However i do recommend that those who have done an in-office whitening procedure before to use a whitening toothpaste, i find that it does help to maintain the colour better over a long period of time.
But if your initial shade is not light enough, just using the toothpaste alone may not help much.

Well the thing bout crest white is that some might feel discomfortable after using it.
A friend of mine experience discomfort after using, like numbness of gums and lips.

As for me, the strips does whitening my teeth but not total white.
Top part of the tooth is white while bottom still remain yellowish.

i'm currently seeing nuggets now for whitening.
Her teeth shade are a very nice shade of white already even before whitening so i guess the "crest white" she was using is rather effective. It must also be quite strong in concentration since she feels numbness etc when using it.

However like she said, the top part of the teeth are white, esp the upper teeth but the lower portions of the teeth (near the gums) remain yellowish.
so just being effective is not enough, i guess you'll have to try to make sure the whitening effect is even distributed.

I've also given you the clinic website and details so that you can check it out if you like. there're useful "before" "after" photos which you can see.
But we've to do an examination first cuz not everyone may be immediately suitable for teeth whitening.
