Hi, anyone here are current members of gyms such as Fitness First, California Fitness and/or Planet Fitness?
I'm thinking of signing up and I've enquired with Fitness First over the weekend and I've been quoted the following:-
Joining Fee: waived
Admin Fee: $88
Passport Membership: $133
12 months contract.
I was told that California Fitness would have a much lower monthly fee but there are other fees involved, so it more or less adds up to the same. The reason why I picked out FF is because it's opposite my home and has more branches compared to others (plus swimming pool as well).
I used to be a member of CF back in Malaysia but cancelled the membership when I came to Singapore. I was paying MYR145/month back then.
Any good recommendations/advice?

$133 per month?

While FF is nicer than Cali (if you like the pool), you're still getting gouged. I'm paying around $40/month for my Cali membership (2.5 years, prepaid) and it's not the best deal around.
Vaguely heretical thoughts on travel technology at Gyrovague

There are brokers for these. Use google. Note that particular category has no voting rights I believe.

I also do, more than I'd like to admit. But we do catch 99% of them. (or more) ;)

If you can, try to go for an older development. The units and the facilities are usually much larger, most of the new developments are like shoeboxes.
