Where to buy a sieve (sifter)

Can only find silly circular 'sieve' gismos. Want a proper one for sifting flour (with a handle that one winds). Has anyone seen these anywhere?

Phoon Huat shop at Chip Bee gardens / Holland Village has it all.

i just love the men these days... they know about detergents/washing powder and they know where to get kitchen stuff too!! and they know about grocery shops too... cool ..

But thanks Superglide- I think that's the place over the road from Holland Villgae and down a little side street yes? I've seen it from Taxi stand at Holland Village. I've not been there but will check it out for a sifter !

From the taxi stand you are probably looking at Pantry Magic, not Phoon Huat which is further up the hill, past the restaurants. You may also want to try:

Good one indeed, we also bought our supplies there:

Sia Huat, Temple Street in Chinatown.

Awesome place, they even had a professional Italian pasta machine, I am still considering... 1000 S$ machinery...

Yeah what a find that place is- bought some great stuff at Phoon Huat today. Thanks Superglide.
And by the way there's a great Aussie butcher in that same little shopping strip- definitely worth a visit if you want the best meat the world has to offer !

Good to hear you found what you needed and that you like the place.

The Australian butcher there? Been there once and found the guy to be a grouchy and grumbling arrogant, who thought he was king and a customer is nothing to respect. I wanted veal sausages, he tried selling me porc.

His business must be good, that he can pick on his customers.

I was there today. The staff was very helpful and knowledable, the selection good. You might want to try them again. Not as grand as the Swiss Butcher but conveniently located and improving. Added bonus: you can order on-line.

Mine too, but not always convenient. You should try the one a HV again, it's not so bad and they even promised to save me a turkey

Hang on- googled it- Bukah Timah- mm nice and close to me....
